This policy explains what The Gamers Center LLC ("we", "us") collects from you on thegamerscenter.com and, once we open, at the center, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- Your account. First and last name, email address, the username you choose, your password (stored only as a one-way hash), your date of birth, and your founding tier. If you are 13 to 17, the email address of your parent or guardian.
- How you found us. The campaign tag on the link you arrived from (UTM parameters), so we know which ad or post brought you here.
- Website logs. Your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which keeps its own short-term logs to protect the site.
- Advertising pixels, only with your consent. If you accept on our cookie banner, we load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Google Ads and Analytics tags, and the TikTok Pixel. They receive the pages you view and a "signed up" event (with your founding tier, never your password), and they may set cookies and match you to an account you hold with them. If you decline, none of them load.
- Once we open. Your play sessions, purchases, prepaid balance, bookings and checklist of the perks you have used, kept in our NEXUS membership system.
Why we use it
- To run your membership and your founding-member benefits.
- To send account emails: verifying your address, your founders invitation and payment link, receipts, and a parent or guardian consent request for members under 18.
- To send news and offers, if you left that box ticked. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
- To measure our advertising, only when you have accepted the pixels.
- To keep the site and the center safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
Service providers who work for us: Microsoft 365 (our email), SumUp (card payments; we never see or store your full card number), Cloudflare (website delivery and protection), and the advertising platforms named above, only after you consent. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.
Children and teens
We do not knowingly create online accounts for anyone under 13. Members aged 13 to 17 must give a parent or guardian's email; we email that person a confirmation link, and no founder fee can be paid until they confirm. A parent or guardian may ask us to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time by emailing us.
The Founders Wall
If you left the Founders Wall box ticked, your username may be displayed on the physical Founders Wall at the center and in founders communications. You can change your mind at any time by emailing us, and we will remove it from the next wall.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from news and offers with the link in any such email, or by emailing us.
- Withdraw pixel consent by clearing this site's data in your browser; the banner will ask again.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your information: email us from the address on your account. We keep what the law requires us to keep (for example payment records) and delete the rest.
California residents
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the pixels you consent to. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing, so there is nothing to report under California's "Shine the Light" law. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals; the cookie banner is how you control tracking on this site.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as we need it for records we are required to keep. Website logs are kept for a short period for security.
Security
Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored hashed, and our backups are encrypted. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you as California law requires.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new version date. If a change materially affects how we use what you have already given us, we will email you.
